Meet Stephanie & Erica of Niks Medical Spa: Sisters, Syringes and Subtlety
What's your claim to fame?:
We’re known for creating naturally enhanced, confidence-boosting results without ever making someone look “done.” Patients trust us because we’re honest, deeply educated injectors who treat every face like art. And… we’re sisters who somehow balance running a thriving medspa, raising kids, and building brands—always with iced coffee in hand.
Tell us the story behind what you do—how did your journey begin, and what motivates you today?:
Our journey began over a decade ago as physician assistants working in medicine. We fell in love with aesthetics because it blended the two things we’re most passionate about: science and art. We dreamed of building a space where patients felt understood, seen, educated, and never pressured.
Our careers grew with every face we treated, every certification we pursued, and every moment we realized just how powerful confidence can be.
What motivates us today is the same thing that motivated us on day one: helping people feel more like themselves—not changing them, but enhancing what’s already beautiful.
How have your surroundings or lifestyle shaped your creative process, mindset, or brand ethos?:
So much of our approach comes from how we grew up. Our mom was a hairdresser, and we watched her bring confidence, connection, and so much laughter to every client who sat in her chair. Seeing the way she made people feel—not just look—shaped everything we believe about beauty today.
And in our current season of life—raising kids, juggling morning routines, and running two businesses—we’ve learned to value simplicity, intention, and systems that help us stay grounded. That naturally carries into our brand ethos.
NIKS is all about natural, elevated, real beauty. We’re inspired by authentic expression—skin texture, movement, subtle enhancements—and the quiet confidence that comes from looking like yourself, just more refreshed and alive.
What’s something about your work or approach that might surprise people?:
We turn away treatments on occasion!
People are often surprised by how conservative we are. We’re not afraid to say “not today,” “not yet,” or “let’s take a different approach.”
Another surprise: we invest heavily in continuous education. Cadaver labs, injector courses, and advanced trainings. Patient safety is always top of mind and we even use ultrasound guidance for precision in some of our treatments. Mastery is a constant practice.
What's currently inspiring you—whether it's a person, a place, a project, or something totally unexpected?:
Right now, we’re inspired by the movement toward reversing beauty back to natural. The shift away from overdone trends feels refreshing and aligned with what we’ve believed all along.
We’re also inspired by community—injectors who support each other, patients who trust us fully, and the creative energy of building something bigger than ourselves.
What are your favorite rituals, spaces, or hidden spots that bring you joy or spark ideas?:
Our treatment rooms—bright, clean, coastal, and full of possibility.
The drive to work—our best ideas somehow come between 8 and 8:30 AM or on our morning walks down to the beach from our office.
Any ocean view—a reminder of why we value natural beauty in the first place.
And honestly… brainstorming with each other. Sister-energy brings out our best ideas.
